Wait...What the heck is that? Well first off it's Welsh...which you may have guessed...and it basically translates to Mary's Festival of the Candles and falls in the same ballpark as Candlemas which evolved from Imbolc in the pagan Celtic tradition.

It represents the halfway point of winter...and the story goes that it was customary for people to light two candles and place them on a table. Each family member would then take a drink of beer out of a horned goblet. Afterwards they would throw the vessel over their head, and if it fell in an upright position, the person who threw it would live to reach a very old age...if it fell bottom up? Well we'll leave that to the imagination...

So we're going to celebrate with ale in horned goblets...we're going to light candles all over the place...we're going to listen to authentic Welsh songs...we're going to eat authentic Welsh food...and most importantly we're going to release one of our favorite beers in our Hidden Nation Brewing Line..."Exit the Dragon"...a Welsh Ale that will honor the Red Dragon of Wales...and tell the tale of the Dragon that adorns the Welsh flag and represents the proud culture of Wales!
